Because of violence and discrimination, transgender persons are most often homeless, unemployed, denied education and medical care and living under the greatest possible threat of robbery and murder. There is one transgender woman who is loved by nearly every person in Papua New Guinea. The iconic recording artist and legendary entertainer Moses Moshanty Tau is a national hero and a beacon to the transgender community of the entire South Pacific.
