Plot
A documentary about the Limburgish Vastelaovend feast in the Dutch city of Venlo. Prince Lex 1, initiator of the film, features in this story about binding, reconciliation and emotion that characterize this yearly returning tradition. Following the stories of ten individuals, the film tries to show the true meaning of Vastelaovend for the people of Venlo and around. Within a month after its premiere, the documentary received the national status of Kristallen Film for reaching 20,000 visitors.
