Through illustrations and sounds, Una vez la noche experiments with the obsessive narration of four diverse characters –all of which are lost in the settings of their memory– to exhibit crucial events that marked their lives forever. Through a particular mise-en-scène, the film provides apparently ordinary people with a brilliant singularity, introducing us to a new perception of reality.

Plot

Just like a comic for the big screen, "Una vez la noche" ("Once in the Night") lets us delve into the obsessions of four characters, who wander in the landscapes of their memories to tell us the fundamental events which disrupted their lives. The film is based on the accounts of four real people picked by the director, and their dreams, reinterpreted by the filmmaker with the help of four different visual artists.
