Plot
'La Violencia' is a documentary film about the indigenous Mayan women of Guatemala, their painful past and uncertain future in the fight for justice and equality. The film paints an image of life in Guatemala using a series of personal stories told through the eyes of both victims and activists. The viewer is taken on a visual and emotional journey of this beautiful yet tormented country, from its violent history to its current fragile state.
