Plot

On April 10, 2012, life for the Mills family dramatically changed forever. A routine patrol in Afghanistan turned into the fight of SSG Travis Mills's life when he was hit by an IED and lost portions of both arms and legs. Featuring powerful interviews and emotional reenactments from Travis, his wife, Kelsey, and his fellow soldiers, Travis: a Soldier's Story is an intimate look into the life of a wounded warrior and his remarkable recovery. Travis's harrowing fight to overcome the physical barriers of being a quadruple amputee and be there for his wife and young daughter, Chloe, has inspired individuals across the country to persevere through life's challenges and to - "never give up. never quit."
