Plot
In Bahram Tavakoli's loose interpretation of Tennessee Williams's "Glass Menagerie", the ageing single mother, Farideh, struggles to raise her two grown-up kids, the timid crippled daughter, Yalda, and her only son, Eshan, in contemporary Tehran. Amidst soured dreams and near poverty, Farideh is thrilled to learn that her shut-in daughter who takes refuge in her wide collection of glass animals, shows interest on Eshan's friend, Reza; an unsuspecting husband for Yalda's hand. As the concerned matriarch juggles two jobs to make ends meet, Eshan keeps daydreaming of a better life through cinema, while on the other hand, the fragile Yalda thirsts to be loved. But are dreams alone, enough?
