JUMP! is a feature-length character-driven documentary about competitive jump rope that follows kids on five teams from around the country who push physical and psychological limits in pursuit of winning the World Championship. Part extreme sport, part art form, their moves are masterfully choreographed and bursting with rhythm, sweat and originality. These teens sacrifice everything to get where they are and each has his or her own reason to be so driven. After arduous drilling and mind-boggling performances, rivalry and collaboration have dramatic unexpected results.

Plot

3 Years in the making, this documentary follows the progress of several competitive jump rope teams as they work their way through regional and national competitions, towards their eventual goal of being world champions. It is an honest and revealing view in to a relatively unknown sport that requires extreme dedication in order to succeed. The film captures the intensity of the commitment of the jumpers, while it is also able to reveal their personal challenges in their journey. The viewer will see the humor, struggle, triumph, failure, and camaraderie that define this sport.A glimpse of what it takes to succeed in the jump rope community can be seen in one of their many slogans; our sport is your punishment.
