"'The Longest Most Meaningless Movie in the World' is an underground movie made in the UK that runs to 48 hours long. No actual footage was shot for the project, which instead consists entirely of outtakes, commercials, strips of undeveloped film, Academy leader, and other filmic castoff material, creating a seemingly endless stream of newsreel and stock footage. It was the longest film ever made at the time of its release, but has since been superseded by many other films."

Plot

...Except for the fact that this is less random and, unfortunately for its title, shorter. The only movie of extensive length that might be worth watching is China's the Burning of the Red Lotus Temple, one of their first films of all time. It's a silent film though, so, who knows, it could be worse than this. All I can tell you is that I hope another one of these is never made. While this film is 48 hours, someone had to go and make one that was 80 (Cure For Insomnia). Since your average person would probably go insane after the first fifteen minutes of both (I did), I don't consider the Longest Most Meaningless Movie in The World an accomplishment of film-making.Judging from the title I don't think they were going for that either.
