Documentary, Sport

This look at the world of fastpitch softball details vanishing Americana, the line between hobby and obsession, and a pride in identity that transcends racial or regional affiliation.

Plot

With the advent of all the low cost, high quality, digital cameras, you'd think you could find more films, of this quality, available to the general public. This is the story of the director's life on the fast-pitch softball tour for a year, and it is a pretty humorous slice of life, tinged with sadness. Very good quality digital filming (best viewed on the DVD copy, I feel), editing, and story-telling. This is a movie for any one involved with a local, non-professional sports team of any type. Great job by the director, and it helps flesh out a comedy/drama film that was in production around the same time, "THE MARKSMEN".
