Plot

Against the backdrop of the Nazis' rapid rise to power, the impecunious Greek music student, Nelly, arrives in 1936 Berlin. Like a fish out of water, Nelly strikes up an acquaintance with the compassionate cabaret performer, Willi Foster, who, not only takes her in but also catapults her career as a rising singer. However, when the cryptic young author, Brian Roberts, enters the picture, things will take a dangerous turn, while in Europe, WWII breaks out. Now, more than ever, Nelly realises that joining the Resistance is the only way to fight back the oppressor, regardless of the outcome. Will she do her part?
