Plot
Without a doubt, "YO SOY, DEL SON A LA SALSA" is worth anyone's while to fall in love and appreciate salsa the music, the culture it represents, and the pure understanding of what various types of salsas there are. I thought I knew much but after this I a sponge absorbing all I could. It is with this documentary that I immediately went out and bought the fantastic double-CD set and have enjoyed it ... going on 11 years now. All the stars involved in this documentary is a true rarity. To have them captured in one film was done with immense honor and respect. Other documentaries I've ever seen may involve recycled footage and does not explore further than the handful of artists, at least in the US knows about. This dug deeper and grasped -- the History of Salsa. I urge all to take the time to watch this, and as I did, fall in love.
