Plot
Tito Valerio Tauro is sent by the emperor Tiberius to Galilee to investigate the disappearance of the body of Jesus. Tito thinks he will hurry up his assignment and return to Rome, but he meets Claudia Procula, Pilate's wife, fascinated by the personality of Jesus which reveals to him that Mary of Magdala has witnessed the resurrection of Jesus. Titus is convinced that Jesus is still alive and that a conspiracy is underway to hide him and, passing himself off as a Christian, begins to look for Mary of Magdala who has also disappeared.
