Plot
At the end of the 16th century, following the battle of Calugareni in 1595, Wallachian ruler Michael the Brave dreams of uniting the three Romanian kingdoms of Wallachia, Moldavia and Transylvania into one country.Prince Michael takes his armies, fresh from their victory in battle against the invading Ottoman army, to join the neighboring Moldavian and Transylvanian troops across the mountains.The Moldavian ruler, Prince Razvan, and the Transylvanian king Sigismund also wish to join Wallachian ruler's forces in order to present a united front against an eventual Ottoman advance deeper into Christian Europe.It is for the first time in the medieval age when the armies of the three Romanian-speaking Principalities would fight united under a single command.Previously, Moldavia was under Russian influence, Wallachia was under Ottoman control and Transylvania was a vassal of the Kingdom of Hungary.Wallachian Prince Michael the Brave's victories over the Ottomans would change the course of history in medieval Europe and achieve unity of all Romanians from the three Principalities.
