Plot
International soccer game, set in Leningrad, USSR. Coach Vorontsov (Papanov) is forming a new national team. He selected eleven best players because they are talented, compatible and hard working guys. Now they are being tested in their first international game. The eleven players are like eleven hopes that may take this team to the World Championship.
