Nini and Mimi are strolling musicians-bassist. For days they are playing on the streets of Rome. One day Nini announced that he has one million and one thousand pounds, having inherited from her grandmother died. Now world belongs only to them, and they can do everything! Ahead of them are Paris, Madrid, England, Scotland, Hong Kong, the United States ....

Plot

Mimì e Ninì campano suonando il contrabbasso per le strade di Roma. Quando Ninì eredita un milione dalla nonna decidono di andare all'estero per trovare un posto degno di loro e delle loro capacità. Da Parigi a Madrid, da Edimburgo a Hong Kong; scambiando travestiti per donne, rischiando di mangiare cani; tra un numero di varietà e l'altro, sempre trascinandosi appresso i contrabbassi (notoriamente poco ingombranti), i due sperperano tutti i loro averi e si ritrovano in America a fare l'autostop per Roma.
