The Tell-Tale Heart

"From the Terrifying Pages of Edgar Allan Poe!"

Dec 1 1960 N/A 1h 18m
Horror

Themes of voyeurism and unrequited love compliment Poe's classic of murder and insanity in this superbly suspenseful loose interpretation. Anxiety-stricken librarian Edgar Marsh becomes infatuated with his next-door neighbor, but when he can't have her, he resorts to murder.

Plot

When Edgar sees his girlfriend Betty getting up close and personal with his best friend Carl, he murders Carl in a jealous rage and hides the corpse under the floor of his piano room. Comes the night, and Edgar begins to hear strange sounds coming from under the floor...
