Deciding to quit his singing act and become a tourist guide, Pete Fleming escorts wealthy Mrs. Floto and her three nieces to Hawaii for a vacation. Behind his back, Pete's three bandmates stowaway and tag along.

Plot

Pete Fleming and his quartet, which includes himself, Ollie Barrett, ""Simpson and "Beans" Smith, fail to make good on the radio, so Pete becomes a tourist guide. He escorts the wealthy Mrs. Effie Floto and her nieces, Mary Lou, Gloria and Doris, to Hawaii. The other quartet members stow away on the ship. During a dinner party in Hawaii, Ollie, "Red," and "Beans" start singing and Mary Lou joins them. The hotel Orchestra Director, "Clipper" Canovan, puts them on they air and they click, and start the search for a sponsor. Toby Spencer urges Pete to renew his efforts to become a radio star and suggests her father, Walter, as a possible sponsor. He owns a cannery for which J. B. Lawton furnishes the pineapples. Be he and Lawton have an argument and dissolve their partnership, and neither has the money to do business alone. Lawton, urged on by Ollie, "Red," and "Beans", and Spencer, promoted by Pete and Toby, begin a contest for Mrs. Floto's affections---and millions. The romantic contest is in action on two fronts, and is complicated by the intervention of the alluring Ilani.
